Research Interests
Generally speaking, my motive for medical research is to take the knowledge I learn in class, apply it to current diseases/disorders that are being studied, and try to brainstorm potential solutions. As a pre-med student, I was particularly interested in the ongoing research on 16p11.2 microdeletion syndrome and I wanted to familiarize myself with the cell culturing process, as well as the various sequencing techniques that are associated in analyzing the genetic information obtained from cells.
Personal Interests
In my downtime, I enjoy going to the gym and playing sports such as swimming, tennis, basketball, and ultimate frisbee. I also enjoy long hikes on weekends, meditating and stargazing.
